A briefing took place with the athletes who will start the SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, 2350-5642 m from Azau Glade and the Skyrace® - Mt. Elbrus, 3780-5642 m from Barrels tomorrow.
Sportsmen, high-altitude judges, support staff of competition are looking forward to the start оf the main event of the festival – SkyMarathon® and Skyrace® - Mt. Elbrus!
80 athletes will start from the Azau glade tomorrow. 144 athletes will start from Barrels.
- Shyngys Baikashev (Red Fox Kazakhstan Team) - twice silver medalist and winner of the SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, 2350-5642 m in 2019;
- Anna Ogloblina - the world record holder who set two records at Red Fox Elbrus Race 2019: the record for the SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, and the new world record among women in distance Azau Glade (2350 m) - Elbrus (5642 m) - Azau (2350 m);
- Evgeny Markov - silver medalist of SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, 2350-5642 m in 2019, who set a
record of Russia in distance Azau Glade (2350 m) - Elbrus (5642 m) - Azau (2350 m) during Victory Cup and the 2019 Red Fox Elbrus Race,as well he is current holder of the world record for high-speed ascent to the Western summit of Mt. Elbrus (5642m) from Azau glade;
- Vitaly Shkel - the world record holder of ascent and descent to both peaks of Elbrus as part of the SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, at the Red Fox Elbrus Race 2019 who updated his own record in 2020.
