Last year was the 10th anniversary of Red Fox hosting their annual festival of extreme mountaineering races on the slopes of Mt. Elbrus including skyrunning and ski mountaineering.

Because Mt. Elbrus is one of the classic seven summits, at 5642 the highest peak in Europe, it attracts the fittest elite mountaineers of the world to push personal and world records of speed at altitude.

The Ski Monsters Expedition Race is an expedition sized undertaking covering more than 5000 vertical meters of elevation gain (and descent) along a 50 kilometer long route in less than 12 hours. It’s the most extreme skimo race ever!

The Red Fox Elbrus Race is also host to the Vertical Kilometer™ and Vertical Marathon™ skyrunning races.
