We are pleased to announce the Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race has received international recognition. The inaugural race last year was so undeniably challenging and exhilarating that this year the race is part of the ISMF European Series.

While ascending to Europe’s highest peak, Mt. Elbrus (5642 m), participants of the 2019 Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race will accumulate points towards the International Ski Mountaineering Federation ‘s European Series this year.

Last year the winners of the first Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race were Ruslan Kulmukhametov - Ivan Marchenkov (Russia, the National Guard team of the Russian Federation No. 1) and Veronika Mayerhofer - Johanna Erhart (Austria). Only one third, 6 of 18 teams, managed to complete the route.
