Regulations for the "VI. International Victory Cup" of the Military, in Memory of World War II.

REGULATIONS

FOR THE "VI. INTERNATIONAL VICTORY CUP" OF THE MILITARY, IN MEMORY OF WORLD WAR II.

Individual and Team races.

1. Goals and Objectives
The contest is held to:
- discover the strongest athletes and teams amongst the military;
- improve general sportsmanship and overall sporting skills of the participants.

2. Location and Dates
Location: Russia, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Elbrus Region, Terskol Village.
Event dates: May 1st - 8th, 2017. The "Vl. International Victory Cup" is held within the Festival Red Fox Elbrus Race.

3. Organization of the Contest.
Overall management and supervision of the contest is held by the Organization Committee of the Festival.
Immediate governance is entrusted to the Race Director:

The Organization Committee of the contest is appointed by Red Fox.
The Organization Committee consists of representatives of army and other similar organizations, which participate in the contest.
Main judge of the contest: Alexander Ovchinnikov.
Safety commissioner: Sergey Yegorin.
The panel of judges is responsible for carrying out the different competitions and for judging results.

4. Requirements for Participation and Terms of Admittance
Participation in the contest is possible for national teams of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and other military organizations, as well as military personnel from other countries, who are cordially invided. Teams are admitted with the following lineup: 3 men, 3 women + 1 trainer + 1 representative. The quantitiy of teams is unlimited. One trainer and one representative are admitted per one organization, even if the number of teams of this organization is more than one. Teams with incomplete lineup can also register for the contest, this concerns both male and female lineup. For each contest, two members of each team are admitted (mens' and womens' scores counte separately). The trainer and team decide, upon mutual agreement, who will take part in each competition. At registration, teams of 3 (or 2) sign up for the contest. Later, during the contest, the team lineup cannot be changed. Rotation of members during the contest can happen only inside the registered team. The contest is held in accordance with the international "Skyrunning and Ski-mountaineering Rules". It is highly recommended to train at altitude before participating in the contest!

May, 1st
11:00-19:00 - Registration of participants of the ski-mountaineering team race Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race. Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina.
17:30 - Briefing of the ski-mountaineering team race Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race. Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina. 1st Stage of the Victory Cup.

May, 2nd
06:00 - Start of the ski-mountaineering team race Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race.

May, 3rd
Reserve day.

May, 4th
10:00-19:00 - Registration of participants of the Vertical Kilometer® - Mt Elbrus, 2450-3450 m. Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina.
19:00 - Briefing of the Vertical Kilometer®

May, 5th
09:00 - Start of the Vertical Kilometer® - Mt. Elbrus, 2450-3450 m. Russian Skyrunning Championship. Azau Glade (2450 m) - "Mir"-Station (3450 m). 2nd Stage of the Victory Cup.
14:00 - Inauguration of the Festival. Awards ceremony for the winners of the Elbrus Ski Monsters Expedition Race and Vertical Kilometer® - Mt. Elbrus. Azau Glade. Hotel Vershina

May, 6th
Participants of the speed race in the "Classic" class and judges ascend to the "Barrels" (Garabashi).
19:00 - Briefing of the speed races to the West summit of Mt. Elbrus - Skyrace® and SkyMarathon®. "Sport" class: Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina. "Classic" class: "Barrels".

May, 7th
06:30 - Start of the SkyMarathon® - Mt. Elbrus, 2350-5642 m, "Sport" class. Azau Glade. 1st Stage of the Russian Skyrunning Cup. 3rd Stage of the Victory Cup.
07:00 - Start of the Skyrace® - Mt. Elbrus, 3780-5642 m, "Classic" class. "Barrels". Kabardino-Balkarian Open Skyrunning Championship.
20:00 - Briefing of the Red Fox TSL Challenge (snowshoe race). Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina.

May, 8th
11:00 - Start of the Red Fox TSL Challenge (snowshoe race).
15:00 - Awards ceremony for the winners of SkyMarathon®, Skyrace®, Victory Cup and the snowshoe race. Closing ceremony of the Festival. Azau Glade, Hotel Vershina.

The decision about the start of the SkyMarathon® and the Skyrace® will be carried out at 6:00 a.m. on May, 7th, according to weather conditions.

6. Evaluation of Results
The result of each participant in both individual and team races is evaluated by the total of time needed for passing the course and the amount of penalty points during each race. The total of time for passing the course by a team is tracked by the last team member passing the finish gate.
The overall team rating is evaluated by the best score of teams of two counting the total of points scored in all races. The overall team rating is evaluated by the total of points for each team member in each race. Winner is the team which has scored the highest quantity of points. The pannel of judges is obliged to give insight into the race report to representatives of teams untill May, 9th, 2018.

7. Awards/Prizes
Winners are awarded with official race diplomas, prize money and additional prizes from organizers and sponsors.

8. Conditions of Financing
All expenses related to preparation and conduct of the contest are at the expense of governmental budget and extrabudgetary funds of other participating organizations.
Teams' travel costs (flight/train tickets, food, accomodation) and participants' insurances are at the expense of the participants' organizations.

9. Applications
Preliminary applications are accepted by email with indication of full name, age, participation in which competition(s) and qualification of participants. To apply follow this link: http://www.elbrus.redfox.ru/applications/.
Start fee: 2000 rubles per person per competition.

On-line registration until April 1st, 2018. Preliminary on-line applications are accepted after confirmation from our side.
Applications and qualification certificates of participants (if they are holders) are passed to the credentials committee.
The pannel of judges reserves the right to change competition schedule at any time!

Sportsmen who have read this regulation are eligible to take part in the competions!
