On May 4 one of the central Skyrunning events took place: the Vertical Kilometer®, an uphill run from 2450—3450 m on Mt Elbrus.
311 athletes from 13 countries around the world (Russia, Poland, Mongolia, Spain, Germany, Japan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Latvia, Turkmenistan, Bulgaria) participated in this exciting race!
For the second year in a row Vitaly Chernov and Elena Kravchenko (both Red Fox team athletes) won the Vertical Kilometer®!

Organized under the aegis of the 2015 Russian National Skyrunner Series®, the Vertical Kilometer® serves as a qualifier race at the international level. This means points scored in the Vertical Kilometer® will be considered for ISF international rankings.
The next thrilling international race – the SkyMarathon® - Mt Elbrus, 2350-5642 m (2015 Russian Skyrunner Series®) – will be on May 6!
