Aim the summit help each other, each other!


Makoto Kobayashi from Japan plans to conquer 7 highest summits placed on all continents of the world. The highest peak of Europe he wants to climb during the Festival Red Fox Elbrus Race 2015 expecting to be one of the leaders of competition.

- Some information about you and your sport achievements.
Makoto: All Japan Championship motorcycle road race GP250, class “professional racer”. Also I’ve compete in the domestic trail running race: 2014 Sahara marathon 250km finish, 2014 Gobi Desert marathon 250km finish.

- How did you know about the Festival Red Fox Elbrus Race?
Makoto: I learned on the Internet.

- Why do you want to participate in the Festival?
Makoto: Because I'm aiming for seven summits.

- Do you have any experience of the mountaineering race on such height? Do you participate in high-speed runs in other countries?
Makoto: I ran in the mountainous area of the Gobi Desert. We are planning to participate in the Everest Marathon.


- What is your best result?
Makoto: 2014 Gobi Desert marathon 250km world overall # 24.

- What is attractive in this region for you?
Makoto: There is the highest peak on the European continent.

- What about preparation, training? Acclimatization?
Makoto: I have training in the Mount Fuji of Japan highest peak. I've been training at a low oxygen chamber.

- What seems to be the main problem for you personally on the way to the top of Elbrus?
Makoto: Now to me is no problem.

- Do you consider the participants to be serious competitors?
Makoto: Rival is myself.

- Your forecast of your results in the competition.
Makoto: First place.

- What can you advise for the Festival’s participants?
