- Some information about you and your sport achievements.
Diego: I've been practicing mountaineering since long time ago, due to my love to the mountains, I have experience in altitude, I’ve been climbing in the Pyrenees, the Alps and the Tratas.

- How did you know about the Festival Red Fox Elbrus Race?
Diego: By Internet, I’m always looking for some races and new challenges.

- Why do you want to participate in the Festival?
Diego: Because it is a wonderful opportunity to climb to the summit of Elbrus and know this country.

- In what disciplines are you taking part? Why?
Diego: I will participate in the Vertical kilometer race and SkyMarathon from Azau to top.

- Do you have any experience of the mountaineering race on such height? Do you participate in high-speed runs in other countries?
Diego: Yes, I have experience in mountain races, and have participated in some races in France. However what I do the most is to run up the mountains individually.

- What is your best result?
Diego: My sport results are different, with top positions in mountain races. 3rd in the Aragón championship , 5th in Valencia region championship , and 13th in Spanish general championship.

- What is attractive in this region for you?
Diego: The diversity of cultures that exist there, and meet its people and its mountains.

- What about preparation, training? Acclimatization?
Diego: I'm doing well with the preparation, alternating cycling with running trails with drop.
In terms of acclimatization, we would like to have in Spain a mountain with features like the ones you have there, but as long as we don't have it, I'm making exercises with a volumetric incentive to train lung capacity, and doing ascents of summits of 3000 meters and making bivouac.

- What seems to be the main problem for you personally on the way to the top of Elbrus?
Diego: I think it will be a little between the cold and altitude.

- Do you consider the participants to be serious competitors?
Diego: Yes, in fact they have shown too much worth at the time of sign up and face a race like this.

- Your forecast of your results in the competition.
Diego: My main goal is just to reach the summit.

- What can you advise for the Festival’s participants?
Diego: Enjoy the atmosphere and the experience!

- Thank you! We wish you good luck on the competitions!
