Today in Prielbrusye took place the main event of the Red Fox Elbrus Race 2014 - high-speed run to the West Elbrus Peak - Elbrus Vertical SkyMarathon® (2014 Russian National Skyrunner Series®). And for the first time in the history of Festival the finish of the high-speed run was on "Barrels".

Unfortunately, the cyclone made adjustments in a course of competitions. And because of the difficult weather conditions the judges took the decision to turn the participants back at the height of 5200 m and to transfer the finish to "Barrels" (3800 m).

We've just received information about the first winners in man's offset! The victory again, as well as last year, was gained by the Italian athlete, - the bronze prize-winner of the Vertical kilometer Marko de Gasperi (Italy). It showed the best time 3 hours 3 minutes and 55 seconds. After Marko the second to the finish the member of the Russian skyrunning team Vitaly Shkel (Moscow) who two days ago has won silver in start of Vertical kilometer came. From the main hero of run he was separated only by minute and 4 seconds. Ivan Sokolov (Vologda) has got a bronze award. His time - 3 hours 22 minutes 47 seconds.
